The Missionary Program

In 2008, the Sudanese leadership team held a pastor’s conference in Southern Sudan. Eighty men and women came to be refreshed, inspired, trained, and equipped to fulfill their callings. At the end of the conference, five men came forward with no prompting from any of the e3 staff. Each said he would like to leave his current place of residence and be a missionary to another tribe and place. Hence, our missionary program was born.

Today the missionary program has grown, and now they operate in pairs to encourage one another and hold one another accountable. After a brief training, they enter an unreached, or under-reached, community. They study the people, pray, share the Gospel, then begin to make disciples of Jesus and establish new churches. The more promising disciples are often sent to our bible school in Kajo Keji. There, they’ll receive more training before heading back home. They’ll take over the work begun by the missionaries who will then move on to the next location. Today the missionaries also identify and direct ways to bless their communities from clean water to schools to basic healthcare.
