From the tropical rainforests of the south to the savannah grasslands of the north, Nigeria is twice the size of California and home to over 500 spoken languages. Its booming economy is driven by oil exports while democracy continues to take root in society.
The Church in Nigeria is exploding. It is the launching point for one of the world’s strongest prayer movements and Nigerians have sent over 5,000 missionaries at home and abroad. Today, many church leaders expect Nigeria to lead an Africa-wide mission mobilization initiative. However, much work is still to be done at home. Over 59 million Nigerians have never heard the Gospel and 100 people groups remain completely unreached.
