e3 STORIES

One Trip. Immense Impact.

One Trip. Immense Impact.

Recently, 33 North Americans traveled abroad on an e3 trip to work with some national partners seeking to spread the gospel and disciple new believers. All 33 people prepared for months before the trip, learning gospel sharing tools and discipleship techniques. They...

A Peaceful House

A Peaceful House

On a recent trip to Latin America, Jess* and George* spent the whole first day searching for a “house of peace”. The house of peace search was something they’d learned during their pre-trip training. It comes from Luke 10:1-9. “After this the Lord appointed...

The Power of Storytelling

The Power of Storytelling

There are many places throughout the world where a written language doesn’t exist. There are others where literacy rates are extremely low. In both cases, without the ability to read the actual text from the Bible, storytelling is an effective method for sharing the...

Eagerness – A Story from Peru

Eagerness – A Story from Peru

The God we serve is faithful. When we trust in His Almighty power, we get a front row seat to the good He can do through people like you and me. I witnessed this recently on an e3 trip to Peru. There were many people on our trip who welcomed us into their homes, but...

Open Arms

Open Arms

God chases after us. Every time I’ve turned away from Him, He’s used people or situations in my life to help me turn back around, and when I do, He welcomes me back with open arms. Recently on an e3 trip to Cuba, I witnessed this — the chase, the turnaround, and the...

Kevin’s Journey – Part 4

Kevin’s Journey – Part 4

Oscar and I stopped for some lunch and then spent some time in prayer before making our way to the nearby neighborhood. Once we got there, we began knocking on doors, asking people if there was anything they needed prayer for and then letting the Holy Spirit guide the...

Kevin’s Journey – Part 3

Kevin’s Journey – Part 3

Diego noticed me when I was about 30 feet from his taxi. I asked him if he spoke English, and he nodded his head yes. “Hi, I’m Luis*,” I said. “I’m Diego*,” he responded. I began making small talk with him, telling him where I was from and how much I was enjoying my...

Elissa Romines' e3 Partners Staff Support

United States

Organized by Elissa Romines

When we consider people being homeless, we easily understand their need for 1) shelter and 2) for programs and services to help them get out of homelessness. What we often don't consider is that homelessness includes the loss of a support system.

Our work is focused on that third piece of the puzzle. We show up and want to support people for the long haul, no matter what that looks like. Sometimes it means working for two months to get someone into rehab because they slip through the cracks. Sometimes it means going to the doctor's office across the City with someone who is going blind.

In essence, we have a consistent presence in a small neighborhood in South Dallas, in hope that we will be invited to enter people's lives. Just like us, everyone's stories and needs are different. Sometimes the biggest need is physical; sometimes emotional; sometimes mental. Our end goal is that, as we work with different people who have different kinds of needs, we might all experience Jesus and his love in new ways.

Our Staff includes Elisabeth Jordan and Elissa Romines. Any donations given to this fundraising page further our work of supporting and caring for homeless men and women in South Dallas.
