BURUNDI

About the size of Maryland, Burundi is a small nation of coffee and tea farmers. It sits along the northeast shore of Lake Tanganyika and is marked by a mountainous, fertile countryside. Often known as Rwanda’s “twin,” Burundi is mostly populated by the rivaling Hutu and Tutsi people.

Despite ethnic tensions, the 1990’s became a time of revival and growth for evangelical Christianity that continues today. Still, an estimated 17,000 Burundians have never heard the Gospel and live in communities without any church or missionary presence.

e3 Partners is working to ensure that a thriving local church exists in every community throughout Burundi. We are equipping existing believers and training local pastors to identify unreached communities and share the Gospel effectively. As people come to faith in Christ, we are establishing small groups that help them take the next steps in their spiritual growth and serve as the seeds for new churches.

The Lord is at work here in Durham, NC and the wider RDU area. I've seen him transform addicts, renew broken families, and rescue troubled kids all through the power of the Gospel! God's heart is that all the families of the earth would worship him. The Lord has called me to be about his kingdom in seeing disciples make disciples until there is no place or person left that hasn't heard the good news!

e3 Partners is a global missions agency advancing the Gospel and establishing the Church in over 65 countries.  I belong to a body of over 400 staff and 2,000 national partners sharing his Gospel among the nations.
