On a recent mission trip to Colombia led by two e3 Strategy Coordinators, a U.S. team member named Gracelyn shared the Gospel with a shop owner named Mariano.
She used the 3 Circles method and drew on a small whiteboard she had with her.
“He wanted to know what the disobedience was that separated us from God, he wanted to know how to come into a relationship with God, and he wanted to know if he needed to kneel when he prayed,” Gracelyn said. “In fact, he took my white board from my hands and excitedly explained that he believed what I was sharing!”
Just then, a man entered Mariano’s store to buy a toy. Mariano was so excited about the prospect of knowing Jesus that he just told the man he could have the toy for free so he could continue the conversation with Gracelyn.
“Mariano really wanted to know how to come into a relationship with God, and he wanted to know now!” Gracelyn said. “He then dropped to his knees in the middle of his store and gave His life to Christ. His joy was contagious! Pray he always has this passion for God and will share God’s story with people who come daily into his shop.”
