Jeffrey*, one of e3’s Strategy Coordinators in South India, has been working with a local partner named Stanley*. Stanley is coaching a pastor in a large city there on how to engage in 4 Fields ministry, a strategy for entering a new area, sharing the Gospel, discipling new believers, and planting churches.
“Once this pastor heard about the 4 Fields strategy, it all clicked,” Jeffrey said. “He said he has been seeking something like this for a long time.”
Recently, this pastor and other leaders visited a village where they shared the Gospel with a large number of people. Fifty said they wanted to turn their lives around and follow Jesus!
“This was so exciting to hear, but generally when I hear about these kinds of numbers I am a little skeptical,” Jeffrey said. “So I followed up on this weeks later, and they were all gathering and meeting to study the Bible and disciple all the 50 who wanted to follow.”
The leaders held an evangelism training for these 50 new believers, teaching them how to share their new testimony and how to share the Gospel of Christ.
“They are continuing to meet together,” Jeffrey said. “We are continuing to pray that God works through this pastor and this group to multiply out into the villages outside the city!”
