We want to help people learn easy ways to share the hope and love of Christ with their neighbors in the midst of this crisis. People are searching for hope right now, and as Christians, we have an opportunity to share the one true source of hope with them. This series is meant to do just that — to share the hope of Jesus through looking at specific stories in the Bible.

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” — 1 Peter 3:15

The Content:
The Bible Stories of Hope series is a discovery Bible study on Jesus’ authority over all. Each week we’ll go through a story from the book of Luke highlighting Jesus, His love, His power, and ultimately the hope He gives us. We’ll discuss what the story teaches us, and how we should apply the lesson to our lives.

The Format - Bible Stories of Hope

The Format:
Each session starts with a time of care, allowing each person to briefly share how they are doing. Then we move into a time of accountability where we follow up on the actions we challenged ourselves to do at the end of the previous week’s session (e.g. share the Bible story with someone else).

From there, we move into a time of studying — reading through a new Bible story and discussing the meaning and importance of the story. We answer questions from the text and then practice retelling the story so that we can build confidence in sharing it with others. Lastly, we close by thinking of someone in our sphere of influence we can share the story with in the coming days, and then we pray together.

Malachi On A Mission To Central Asia | Spring 2023

Dear Friends and Family:

My name is Malachi Cooper. I have loved living and serving on mission for the past 10 years in Japan, South Florida, and now Southern California. It has also been a joy to travel around the world with my dad, training and learning from others across the U.S and around the world. I’ve had the opportunity to make disciples and help start churches. It always amazes me to see lives transformed, and people take on their identity as ambassadors for Jesus, letting Him move through them.

I am writing to you to share this exciting opportunity I have to grow as a disciple of Jesus and serve overseas on His mission. For this to happen, I desperately need your prayers.

These scriptures have really encouraged me to continue to pray as I step in faith for His will.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance.”

Ephesians 6:18

This semester, I will finish my last year of High school. I’ve been praying for an opportunity to serve on a mission overseas next Spring. I’m excited to learn that my family’s mission organization, e3 Partners/ I Am Second, offers an internship for young adults to serve on missionary teams across the US and overseas. After much prayer and wise counsel, I applied and rejoice to share with you that I got accepted for the e3 internship overseas!

I’m also excited to learn that I was placed in Central Asia, along with a brother in Christ we served with in Florida, we’re excited to serve under two families we sent out of our church in California. Lord willing, I will be there from early February through end of April 2023. The teams I’ll be serving with have really solid leadership and they are seeing a lot of fruit among the locals and surrounding countries.

On this mission, I will continue applying what I’ve learned from the past 10 years of serving. We will be making disciples and equipping leaders with similar tools and strategies we’ve been training from the Bible & living out ourselves.

Additionally, I want to inform you of my financial need and invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me financially. At this time, I’ll need to raise $6,000 including $1000 in monthly support by the end of December. CLICK HERE to submit a tax-deductible financial gift.

I am humbled to get to serve and appreciate your prayers and support for our family. I cannot believe I get to do this! I have loved walking and serving on missions with my family. It has been incredible to see Jesus provide for us, encourage us, speak to us, and lead us all over the world. As followers of Jesus, our heart breaks for the lost, and we cling to the transforming power of the gospel. God is faithful. I am beyond excited to see the Lord move in this next season, in Central Asia.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to talk more about this missions trip to Central Asia, please contact me at:

Thank you for your consideration in supporting me through your prayers and financial support and also for letting others know about this opportunity for me to serve Him. It is truly a joy to follow Jesus wherever He leads me.

Grace & Peace,

Malachi
