One of e3’s Strategy Coordinators, Beth*, recently returned from leading a short-term trip to South Asia where she and her team saw 182 people profess faith in Christ for the first time, and more than 700 believers were trained and equipped in evangelism and discipleship. This is the fourth short-term team Beth has led to a new state in the area to reach the lost there.

“This past year has been a spark to start a fire of Kingdom growth,” Beth said. “It is an all-out spiritual battle as we partner with indigenous brothers and sisters on the ground to spread the Gospel to the 98% who have little to no idea who Jesus is. In many ways, it feels like pioneer work and something only the Lord can accomplish. Only Jesus will build His church.”

Beth and her team went out into the villages and shared the Gospel, and they also served as a catalyst for the local pastors they worked with. They trained them how to multiply new healthy, Gospel-centered churches rather than simply having church growth of existing churches.

“It was an entirely different method than what many of them were used to,” Beth said. “One pastor shared he had served as a pastor for the last 30 years and had not seen anything like what he had the five days on the ground in South Asia. Praise the Lord! God is working in hearts and is raising laborers for the harvest. There is great potential for ongoing church multiplication.”

During the trip, Beth and her team “saw God move in uncountable ways,” she said.

“We saw believers who had never shared the Gospel step out boldly and share the Gospel with their Hindu neighbors,” Beth said. “God raised up new laborers in the harvest field! We have 182 new brothers and sisters in Christ! We have so much to thank the Lord for!”
