The fall 2021 school season is upon us, and parents everywhere are packing up boxes and saying a tearful goodbye as their kids transition to college for the very first time.
As these young adults leave the nest and strike out on their own, the e3 Medical team is there to help them embrace mission work through our Students On Mission program. Our goal? To help students make missions a lifestyle!
This September, we’ll once again visit a variety of universities to recruit students to come on our short-term trips. Upon learning about our ministry through information booths and in-class lectures, students are naturally drawn to the opportunity to share the Gospel in remote places while applying their classroom knowledge to the real world.
The Students On Mission program is open to students of all majors—and they don’t need a medical background to participate. Even so, God has blessed us with many nursing students who are simply thrilled to go on a medical mission.
During a short-term medical trip, these young adults amass an incredible amount of experience supporting each and every part of the ministry, participating in Gospel outreach, our medical triage & pharmacy, our eyeglasses clinic, spiritual counseling programs, and much more.
Many of our college-aged trip participants are equally excited and afraid, having never traveled the globe before. That’s why we match our first-time participants with experienced mentors who can provide encouragement along the way, as they learn to share the Gospel with confidence.
At the moment, we have several university partners who are interested in mobilizing a team of students to Greece. Since 2016, we’ve been ministering to refugees in Athens. There, people from the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa live in migrant camps as they attempt to recover from unimaginable hardship. In short, they desperately need the hope of Jesus, and through our ministry, we have witnessed some of these refugees come to faith in Jesus, followed by baptism.
As you may be aware, the people of Greece recently endured a series of devastating wildfires. Please join us in prayer that God will restore this amazing country and its people, and that our team will be able to continue ministering there.
