About the Trip

As you know my faith in Christ has become the most important thing in my life. (Maybe you have even known me before when faith meant nothing to me). This July I will be going on a Mission Trip to Ethiopia to love the community and share the good news of the Gospel! More in detail I will be working with E3 Partners and going with other members at Watermark Community Church. We are staying in Addis Ababa, but during the day going to the rural towns and villages to get to know the community, and share the love of Christ, alongside a translator. The translator is also a Christian who lives/knows the area. After my departure, the people we build relationships with will be followed up and supported by the local (The translator and their church) body there.

My ask is that if you would partner with me in prayer that I would love the members of the community well. Also, the Lord would use me in any capacity that is needed to be there for his children and to let them know of his redemption plan through Jesus.

Lastly will you please consider partnering with me, through financial support to cover the cost of the trip? My ask, if you do partner with me, is that it wouldn’t be out of the feeling of obligation, but out of joy 🙂

Story Time

Last year, Me and my team hiked up a hill to a village. Instantly people started coming out to see the Americans. Mostly all the men were gone. As a crowd builds up Lindsey(Team Member) shares the Gospel. The great news was that mostly everyone was a believer, but one woman was not. To our surprise she invited us to her home. As we walk in we are instantly greeted by her children, and she graciously offers us coffee. After some conversation we find out that her children were believers, but she wasn’t. Turns out she wants to believe but she can’t because her husband is a religious leader in the muslim community. I get amped up, asking “Where is He? We Need to talk to him!”, but the response from the kids were “You won’t be able to talk to him, he is far away working, he wont get back till later tonight.” I was disappointed, demotivated. As we get ready to leave she asks for prayers. She gets on her knees as we lays our hands and pray for her. She is weeping, though she doesn’t know what we are saying she knows it’s truth. My heart is broken for this woman. We walk out and heading to the gate. When old muslim man walk in. IT’S HIM, GOD BROUGHT HIM AT THE LAST MOMENT. We share the gospel to him. His response “I like this story, it’s a really great story, but I can’t change my faith I’m a religious leader. If I were to change I would need to talk to my wife first”. We had to leave at that time. So we don’t know how this story ended but, He seemed willing to trust in Christ, but needed to make this decision with his wife. Little did he know that his wife was inside fully ready to outwardly accept King Jesus as her Savior.
