Hello friends and family!

I am so excited to be going to Ethiopia this summer with young adults from my church to share the hope and love of Christ!

Since going to Ethiopia in 2022, my heart has continued to grow for the work God is doing both locally and globally. Most recently, the Lord opened doors here in Dallas so I could connect with a refugee ministry where I partner alongside missionaries to tutor, provide ESL help, and teach Bible lessons to children who have recently moved to the US from around the world. It has been so cool to see how God orchestrated this ministry to fall into my life. It started with randomly volunteering at an event where I heard someone say the one Amharic word I could remember and led to me meeting a family from the same region of Ethiopia I had done ministry in 2022. If that wasn’t God speaking loudly enough, I then went through a job change and am now closer to the ministry and able to get off in time to serve there each week. The Lord is oh so good in directing our paths!

Fast forward to today, where in the same way, God has opened doors to share the hope and love of Christ overseas! On June 21st, I will be traveling with other young adults from my home church, Watermark Community Church, to go back to Ethiopia, Africa. One aspect of this trip that makes it so unique is that through Watermarks partnership with e3 Ministries, I will work directly alongside local Ethiopian disciple makers the whole trip. These disciple makers have already started searching for villages that haven’t heard the name of Jesus. Once we get there, we will go to these villages alongside them, and together we will share the good news of the Gospel. After our departure, the disciple makers will follow up, disciple, and plant churches.

Two years ago this trip completely changed my life as I left in awe and wonder at just how big our God is. Each day our group went out to villages with the sole mission to share with those who hadn't heard it. And time after time God did miracle after miracle and lives were changed. In a place where accepting Christ often comes at the price of persecution, loosing your family, your farm and your livelihood, we saw countless people choose Jesus. Eyes were opened to the Gospel and new believers fervently jumped alongside us in wanting to share what they had just learned with their neighbors.

As we prepare for this trip, I humbly ask for your prayers. Please pray for the team, the local Ethiopian churches we will be partnering with, the Ethiopian translators, and the people who get to hear about the love and grace of Jesus! Pray we will be a light to the nations so Christ’s salvation may reach the ends of the Earth (Is. 49:6) and that God will open eyes to the truth and beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Another way you can be involved is through financial support. The total trip cost is $3,925 and the funds raised will go towards evangelism to unreached people groups and training local disciple makers.
