Last year, I was very fortunate to get to go on my first mission trip to Ethiopia. The Lord softened my heart, as I was very hesitant to leave the comfort of what I knew. Yet I trusted him and signed up. Fast forward to when I was on the trip, and I just got to see the Lord work. It wasn’t easy, but I got to share my testimony of a life before Jesus of shame and guilt. I got to share my story of how I tried to live a good and perfect life, but ultimately I would fall short time and time again. I learned that there has only ever been one man who has lived a perfect life, and he paid the ultimate payment so that those who trust in him could live an eternal life with him. The moment I heard about this free gift, I accepted him into my life. It is by nothing I could ever do, but what Jesus did on the cross. He paid a debt I could have never paid, by his life, death and resurrection.
As I shared all God had taught me, I had the amazing experience of seeing new brothers and sisters want that same freedom in Jesus.
The experience was so memorable and such an amazing way to see Jesus break the chains of new believers that I signed up again. I’m asking for prayers for our trip to Ethiopia in 2024, or if you would like donate to the trip, it would be much appreciated too!!
