Carol’s Bio

For nearly 20 years, along with my husband and 4 children, I have been privileged to be a part of God’s mission to unreached and unengaged peoples: first in South Asia, now locally among diaspora peoples in North America. I have seen firsthand how God raises up unlikely disciple makers to overcome impossible circumstances and embrace their God given identity to make disciples who are now striving to see healthy and multiplying churches among the nations. I am currently the Women’s Development Director for e3 Partners, and a Perspectives Next Step mentor. My husband Will and I have 4 children and are looking forward to welcoming our first grandchild in early 2022. My life verse and passion is to help people discover and understand their identity described in 1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

David’s Bio

David Kaufmann is the lead pastor of City Church Network. He is married to Rebekah, his high-school sweetheart, and has 4 amazing and wonderful children (William, Gracie, Belle, and Noah). His heart for church planting comes from over 10 years of prayer, experience, and study in the ministry. He first began as youth pastor in Huntsville, AL and then moved on to e3 Partners to become the International Director for Students. After traveling to 15 different countries spanning four years and training international leaders, David received a call to serve as a pastor with Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Antioch, TN. David planted City Church of Woodbine five years ago with a vision to birth a church planting movement in Nashville, TN that would successfully spread the gospel among all refugee and immigrant communities in the city. David’s hope is that someday Nashville will be known as a light unto the nations (Isaiah 49:6). David is now leading a team of 9 Missionary families to plant churches among the most unreached people groups in Nashville, TN. In addition, he helps train church planters across the United States and India.

Instructor: Susan Kelly

Location: Marietta, GA

Susan’s Bio

Susan lives in Marietta GA with her husband Mark and has been serving with e3 Partners since 2013 in Tanzania. She is currently the Strategy Coordinator and Community Transformation leader in the unreached Zaramo and Digo people groups. Susan is passionate about equipping, mentoring and discipling individuals and communities to discover their true identity as God created and experience the abundant life Jesus promised us. Using simple, biblically based methods, she and her team of national partners use Community Transformation to build relationships in unreached communities that are closed or resistant to the Gospel. By equipping a few local believers how to tangibly love their neighbors, barriers to the Gospel are broken down, allowing for integration of locally led evangelism, discipleship and actions to improve physical health, community well-being and social issues using resources that are readily available in the community. Their goal is to see these unreached people groups reached with the Word of God and healthy bodies of Christ (the Church) established among them.

Will’s Bio

God called my family to the least reached people of South Asia in 1999. After Bible college and Seminary, moved by the tragedy of 9/11 and prompted by the leading of God’s Spirit, we planted our lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh to engage the largest unreached people group in the world, Bengali Muslims. After years of intensely challenging, yet fruitful labor, God directed us to establish a home base for reaching unengaged people groups in the Himalayan mega-city of Kathmandu, Nepal. From there, we traveled widely across Northern India and the “Himalayan Belt” of South Asia to facilitate movements of multiplying disciples and churches. Our vision and driving passion was to see No Place Left where Jesus was not yet known by all and worship by healthy and reproducing disciples from every people group in those regions. As we actively applied God’s Word to the way we contributed to His mission, we decided to simply follow the model of what Jesus started and the model his disciples so faithfully imitated. In time, we began to see more and more people groups engaged with the Gospel for the very first time. We saw entire Districts reached by healthy and multiplying churches and we saw cultural “insiders” embrace local ownership for the remaining missionary task among their people. After that, we enjoyed a brief term of establishing missionary leaders in Bhutan, but it was clear that for us, we had come to our own No Place Left moment. Similar to the way Paul was prompted by God’s Spirit to entrust the foundations he had laid to the leaders he had established (Romans 15:23; 2 Cor.3:10), God called us to steward a healthy “exit” from the people we dearly loved and the place we still call home. Today, God has called us to step out in faith once again. We resigned from the largest missionary sending organization in the world to join our dearest friends for this exciting new season in our missionary calling. As a member of the e3Partners family, I have been asked to lead our organization’s global migration strategy. It has been so fulfilling to empower, equip and mobilize this new generation of missionary leaders! I learn from them every day as we encourage and help one-another to succeed in our localized strategies for engaging the least reached within the global migration phenomena of our day.

Four months later they made the decision to plant churches among unreached people groups and moved to New York City. Amy and Kyle labored among the unreached Wolof of Senegal in Harlem.
