Shepherd’s Corner: May/June 2021

Greetings Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Brett Flagg, the new Chairman of the Board for e3 Partners. In collaboration with CEO Jim Shannon and all of you—our wonderful, hard-working staff members—I look forward to guiding the efforts of our ministry over the next several years to come.

After serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the past decade and observing your fantastic work, one thing is clear: our organization operates at its very best when we act as a unified, cohesive team and let the Lord continually guide our efforts—even during times of unprecedented hardship.

2020 was a year like no other. Yet God provided numerous opportunities to keep our ministry firing on all cylinders during the pandemic. e3 Partners’ virtual mission trips made missions work more accessible to people than ever before, while I Am Second launched its awareness campaign in an effort to reach countless new viewers who had never seen our stories of real-life redemption. Our events—evangelism training sessions, donor fundraisers, and more—quickly pivoted to online and hybrid formats. Plus, our distribution of humanitarian aid opened up new opportunities for gospel conversations in traditionally hard-to-reach places.

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for responding to the COVID-19 crisis with steadfast faith and a spirit of fortitude. The stories mentioned above are now part of e3 Partners’ spiritual legacy, and we’ll be able to look back on this time with a sense of gratitude for God’s immense provision. Yes, we were tested like never before, both personally and professionally. But the Lord strengthened us and taught us lessons in perseverance; we know with greater certainty that He will sustain us, regardless of our circumstances, and that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus.

God blessed our ministry in 2020 because we kept our eyes on Him, and we’ll continue to do just that as we look ahead to the future. Now that our 2021 fiscal year is in full swing, we face new challenges to which we can respond as the hands and feet of Christ. Recently, we raised funds for COVID relief in India, and soon, we’ll deploy a missions team to assist with the humanitarian crisis at the southern border of Texas.

As your phenomenal teamwork continues, I encourage you to keep pressing into the Word, and to keep doing what you are doing for the glory of the Lord. When I accepted the role of Chairman, I did so with an incredible amount of optimism for the future of our organization. After overcoming significant hurdles in 2020, e3 Partners is poised to make amazing strides for the advancement of God’s Kingdom in 2021 and beyond.

In Christ,

Brett Flagg
Chairman of the Board
