Algerian People Profile
Algeria is home to over 44 million people, the vast majority of whom have little or no access to the Gospel. With a deeply rooted Islamic identity and limited religious freedom, Algerian believers often face isolation, pressure, and persecution for their faith. Yet, there is a growing openness among some communities, highlighting the urgent need for more workers, discipleship, and Gospel witness in this nation.

Job Description
Time Frame: Minimum 2 years
Community
There are few workers in Algeria, so it would be best to come with others on a team.
Coaching
There are movement coaches available across Africa.
Urban/Rural
The majority of your work will take place in the urban areas as it is much riskier to travel into rural areas.
Rhythms
For workers in Algeria, learning Algerian Arabic and French is essential to build trust, share the Gospel effectively, and navigate daily life. Relying on English alone creates barriers, while speaking local languages shows cultural respect and long-term commitment.
Health
In Algeria, foreigners usually find the best healthcare in private clinics in major cities, where some doctors may speak English, though French is far more common. Public hospitals are accessible but can be crowded and have limited English support, so many expats rely on private care or seek treatment abroad for complex needs.
Team
While there are other units in Africa, coming with others as a band would be best.
Platform/Visa
Creative access will be needed for visas.
Schooling
There are a few international schools, mainly in Algiers.
