The Los Angeles Metropolitan Area is the second-most strategic region in the United States to engage unreached or underserved people groups. From the diverse population of Jewish peoples in the Pico Robertson neighborhood to the Asian peoples in Irvine, to the Arabs in Anaheim, Los Angeles metro is a melting pot of cultures and worldviews. Given the global connectivity and influence, the potential to have a significant impact on the world through the people who work and reside there is immense. This position will require raising support.

The Arab peoples in the Los Angeles area consist mostly of Egyptians, Palestinians, Iraqis, Syrians, Lebanese, Saudis, and Jordanians. The central hub for Arab culture is “Little Arabia” in Anaheim on Brookhurst St. There you will find shops, restaurants, coffee shops, mosques, grocery stores and more. Arabs are dispersed throughout the LA area. However, cities including Anaheim, Cypress, and Irvine show to have larger pockets of Arab peoples.

Time Frame: Minimum 2 years 

• Identify people groups and locations where they live and worship.
• Equip and mobilize teams to engage target people groups with tools appropriate for the specific context.
• Track the progress for local ownership of the apostolic task among each people group identified.
• Build coalitions of communities of practice around the apostolic task in your context.
• Be involved in a local apostolic band and their rhythms, including prayer times, strategy meetings, prayer walks, training, harvest times, etc.
• Agree to the North America NoPlaceLeft confession and Value Statements.
