VIRTUAL MISSIONS

A new way to, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Virtual Mission Trips

e3’s virtual mission trips allow you to go and make disciples across the world through the use of digital media. You will learn how to tell your story and God’s story. You will work alongside national partners and long-term missionaries that are on the field serving in these trying times. And you will experience the cultural distinctives of the places you virtually travel to. Won’t you join us? Virtual Mission Trip FAQs

Do I need to take time off from work to go on a virtual mission trip?
Nope! Our virtual mission trips will fit in with your work schedule. A typical e3 virtual mission trip will meet 4-5 times in the evenings over the course of 1-2 weeks.
How much of a time commitment is a virtual mission trip?
Our virtual mission trips usually consist of about 8-10 hours of virtual gathering time over the course of 1-2 weeks. Additionally there are some self-paced evangelism, prayer, and discipleship opportunities throughout the trip.
How does a virtual mission trip work? What can I expect to do?
Our virtual mission trips provide you with opportunities to worship with other believers across the country and the world. You’ll learn from, and receive evangelistic training from missionaries and national partners abroad. You’ll get to experience some of the cultural distinctives of the country you virtually travel to, like the food they eat, typical greetings, clothes they wear, etc. You’ll hear stories of what God is doing in that country, and how your prayers and support are making an impact. And you’ll get to put your training into practice through prayer walks and door-to-door evangelism in your own community.
What is the typical schedule of a virtual mission trip?
The schedule varies from trip to trip, but for the most part, they all meet virtually 4-5 times over the course of 1-2 weeks. Each meeting consists of worship, prayer, stories and evangelism training with national partners and missionaries, and immersion in the culture of the country you’re virtually traveling to. There are also opportunities throughout the 1-2 weeks for self-paced Bible reading, prayer walks, and sharing God’s story and demonstrating His love in your own community.
What time of day will we meet for our virtual trip?
Typically, the meetings are in the evenings, after work hours, for about 1-2 hours each time.
Will I get to interact with national partners and missionaries abroad during my virtual mission trip?
Yes! Depending on the time zone differences, you may have missionaries and national partners join your evening meetings for live evangelism training, stories, and worship time together. And if the time zone differences are further apart, you’ll receive video updates, stories, training, and encouragement from the national partners and missionaries throughout your virtual trip.
How many people normally attend a virtual mission trip?

We’ve already taken groups of more than 40 and 50 on a virtual mission trip! So, if you’re looking for something your Bible class or a large portion of your church congregation can experience together, e3’s virtual mission trips are a great option. We’ve also taken several trips with 10 to 20 people as well, so e3’s virtual mission trips are great for life groups, small groups, and even individuals looking to experience a new culture and make an impact for the Kingdom.

What is the average cost of a virtual mission trip?
With no expenses for plane tickets, lodging or meals, virtual mission trips can be as low as $25 to attend! Most range from $50 to $100, and most of the funds go directly to supporting the work in the country you’re virtually traveling to.

Our Mission is to Equip God’s people to Evangelize His world to Establish His Church!!!

Equip: We equip the church to be on mission, to be active participants in God’s Great Commission calling. To achieve this, we train and equip Believers with simple, biblical and reproducible tools to proclaim the gospel and make disciples.

Evangelize: Our goal is to communicate the gospel to every person on the planet. Why? Because it is God’s goal and vision for His people (Matthew 28:18-20). We do this internationally by partnering with national leaders and taking short term mission teams to train and model evangelism and discipleship. Churches in the US are also trained both for participation in short term trips but also to engage their local communities.

Establish: Jesus said He would establish His Church and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it (Matt. 16:18). For this reason, e3 seeks to follow the patterns that Jesus modeled for us in Scripture. The best way to establish healthy, reproducing churches is to ensure the multiplication of disciples.

Ministry History
He was a lone pastor from Oklahoma with a simple, yet profound vision. In 1987, Mike Downey left the pastorate to create a small missions organization. It consisted of believers going into new cities, preaching the Gospel, and leaving behind new churches. Originally named Global Missions Fellowship (GMF), this new organization focused on making a lasting difference around the world by securing networks of local partners who lay the groundwork for short-term mission teams.
In 2005, Global Missions Fellowship became e3 Partners. Nearly 30 years later, we are serving over 50 countries, supported by a passionate team of 450 staff. Thousands of Christians are joining us on hundreds of expeditions every year to spread the Gospel and transform communities. Our mission is simple and our name says it all. We equip God’s people to evangelize His world and establish His Church. And we do this through critical partnerships.

A Little About Us:

We were married on the island of St. Thomas in 2002, and live in Houston TX. We both enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, reading, cooking and photography.  Tony enjoys college football (Go Huskers!) and both college and high school wrestling. Lisa enjoys running, history and art. We have served with e3 since 2006. Having the opportunity to see much of the world has truly changed our perspective on life and fueled our passion for seeing the proclamation of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Our desire is to see people transformed by the power of the Gospel, develop their identities in Christ (become a Christ-follower) and then be empowered to live the Christian life. While we have truly been blessed to have shared the Gospel of Jesus, make disciples and plant churches with e3 in the Middle East, South America, Asia and Africa, currently our main mission focus is Ireland as well as the US.

Our life verse:
Philippians 3:10 - My goal  is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings.

 Ireland

We are working with e3's National Director, Andrew Clements, who lives in Kilkeel, N. Ireland, to start a church planting movement in all 32 counties across all of Ireland. Our vision is to achieve this by the year 2032, or 32 by 32.  A church planting movement consists of a church that plants six churches that multiplies to the fourth generation. A church planting movement in each county would consist of 25 churches per county or 800 churches total. With the DNA of multiplication in each church, we feel by the year 2032 we could say there is NoPlaceLeft to work in Ireland. We will work with local Irish leaders to raise up laborers by holding trainings, conferences and model our vision by leading short term mission teams to engage lostness with the Gospel, make disciples and plant health multiplying churches.

Partnership
We want to invite you to be part of what God is doing in this ministry.  We need your partnership and want you to prayerfully consider becoming a partner with us in the Great Commission.
There are three specific areas where you can get involved:
Pray:  Being a prayer partner may be one of the most important aspects of our ministry.  God is the Lord of the harvest and though the harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few.
Go: Join us as laborers in the harvest.  We invite you to “Go” with us on one of our mission trips.  You will be equipped with everything you need to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples.
Give: We are praying for monthly partners to help meet the financial needs of the ministry. Your partnership helps us pay for our family needs as well as ministry expenses and traveling. All donations are tax deductible.
Please prayerfully consider becoming a partner at $25, $50, $75 or $100 a month
Churches please prayerfully consider becoming a partner at $100-$500 a month
